Congratulations to Chando for winning the third prize in the industrial design category at the 16th Creative China Design Awards
with their Flower Good Moon Round home fragrance product.
The Creative China Design Awards, hosted by the Beijing Academy of Visual Arts and the Creative China Design Awards Committee,
aim to showcase new achievements in China's creative design field, explore new trends in creative design,
and promote the development of China's creative industry.
Since its inception in 2007, the Creative China Design Awards has become a renowned award in the Chinese creative design industry,
attracting numerous designers, design agencies, and design students and teachers from universities to participate in the competition.
The winning entries each year represent the current annual level of Chinese design research and creation.
The design inspiration for Flower Good Moon Round came from the famous line by Su Dongpo,
"I only wish that people have a long life, and that the moon and I share the same moment, no matter how far apart we are."
Moon appreciation has been an elegant and refined pastime since ancient times.
The designers used the fragrance product to convey the beautiful hope of "flowers blooming well and the moon being round."
To create Flower Good Moon Round, more than 20 years of experienced ceramic artisans carefully handcrafted each piece.
The incense ceramic material was selected from high-quality kaolin clay with high whiteness and low impurities,
with the product's shape deviation reduced to a minimum.
After a special ratio and more than 60 days of strict and complex processes, including carving, molding,
pulp-making, stitching, finishing, coloring, and firing at 1200 degrees Celsius, the final product was produced.
The ceramic interior has pores like skin, allowing the fragrance to spread evenly and soothingly into the space.
Due to Chando's attention to detail in the ceramics production process,
any errors in the middle of the process require starting again,
resulting in an average rejection rate of up to 40%.
This is a testament to the artisans' careful craftsmanship and the time spent
creating something truly beautiful in the Eastern tradition.
Fragrance products that carry emotional memories and natural scents have gradually moved away
from conventional images in the evolution of design aesthetics.
More and more fragrance products now focus on presenting artistic aesthetics and quality living,
in addition to meeting basic home fragrance needs. Adhering to the principle of putting products first and users first,
Chando will continue to explore and develop products that combine Eastern design aesthetics with multi-functional use,
creating an artistic atmosphere in the living space for users.
